2010 Skoda Octavia Combi design Review

2010 Skoda Octavia Combi
Now this is a car, which really does not look like its sister sibling.  Who can really tell that the 2010 Skoda Octavia Combi and the 2010 VW Jetta are the same car?  Well, I can, but that is because I know who owns who, and who uses each other’s platforms.  Now for a company, which hails from an Eastern European country, it seems kind of odd that they could design such a great
looking car.  But when it comes to great advertising and near perfect sponsorships, Skoda really takes the cake.   And why would I say that, well have you been able to watch any European sport in the past five years without seeing a Skoda advertisement.  And why would a company push its cars this much, well when your remembered as a cheap alternative to a Volkswagen, you might one day want to compete with Volkswagen.  The only problem with this, is that VW owns Skoda.  Of course, when you sell Skoda’s like GM sells Buicks, then you might not have to worry as much.  Now for some good points about the Octavia, well it does have perfect sized wheels, a sporty appeal and it flows from head to toe or roof to tire.

Some problems which plague this design are the oversized headlights, not large enough wheel wells and the turn signal which rides above the fog light.  Now the turn signals place is a very good spot, and does give it some points, the only downside is that it seems to stand out, even from far away.  And as for the wheel well size, well this is one part, which is hard to touch on but really, it would look better if they were a bit bigger.  And with the headlights the only change I can see needed to be made, is that the bottom could be pushed up and, in a bit, to give it some more evil.
