2010 Volkswagen Golf design Review

2010 Volkswagen Golf
So how do you make an already decent looking car a bit more decent.  Well first you add some German design, knock out the Porsche styling features, add a few more edges and presto, you’ve gone the makings of a dominant hatchback.  Of course, all of this would be true, had it not been for the poor name
choice of the last model in North America.  Really everyone knew that the Rabbit was not cool to begin with, then you try to bring it back.  Oh, come on Volkswagen animal names don’t work on small cars, and really, they don’t work if there are cuddly.  Now for this year VW decided to make some changes to its 2010 Golf, of course not everything can be for the better.

It seems that VW is still bent on keeping its fat bodied image of the dubbed-out Golf’s of the 1990’s, and this design seems to be a step back, not forward.  As with the 2009 Dodge Caravan, the 2010 VW Golf seems to moving back to its curvy box look of the 90’s.  Now this could be a good thing, or yet it could be a bad thing.  No one knows now, but soon time will tell.

The 2010 Golf is well done but it still doesn’t have much attitude, except in the headlights.  Most of the car is left with blank spaces, which are not even filled with crease lines or shadow effects.  This leads to a very bland looking model, of course that could make it a perfect canvass for painters.  And for the rear of this car, try a weight loss program.
