2010 Daewoo Lacetti design review
ducts, this is the same car as the Cruze. But considering that Koreans usually design better small cars than anyone else, this car is no exception. Although it did rank low in our points system, the 2010 Lacetti did beat out its ugly step sister. The few subtle changes to the front of this step sister seemed to make all the difference. Now do you remember what the bad points were for the Cruse, yes, they are all the same bad points for the Lacetti, except for one. The fact is that when they changed the grille to the one on the Cruze, they seem to make the hood and grille meet a lot better. On the Lacetti there seems to be a gap between the top chrome strip of the grille and the front of the hood. This makes the hood appear to hover over the grille. The main part of this car that makes it better than its sibling, is that where the headlights meet the hood, they only seem to split apart at the very end, making the lights and hood flow better. Added to this the differentiation in front grilles makes the front end of the Lacetti flow better and smoother than the front of the Cruze. Everett J. #autolooks Overall Grade: C-
