2010 SsangYong Rexton II design review

2010 SsangYong Rexton II
Considered by some to be the Escalade of Korean, the 2010 SsangYong Rexton II seems to be more of a take on the first-generation M-Class.  Add some twenty-inch wheels and some more chrome and you have the makings of a pure luxury SUV.  But when you see the Rexton II in the flesh at the dealer, that is not the first impression you get.  For starters you have to take notice at the wide-eyed front headlights.

They look like they belong back in the nineties and that is where they should have stayed.  Next you notice that the entire vehicle is just one large bubble.  There are not many flat or sharp edges on the Rexton II, this is something which needs to be taken care of.  And lastly anyone has to notice that the grille of the Rexton II seems to be made of plastic and that it is slapped on.  The grille should be separate from the front and maybe be a defining part of the hood.  This would make the front end seem more truck-like and less car-like.

This review of the 2010 SsangYong Rexton II isn't very flattering! The reviewer clearly isn't a fan of the styling, particularly the headlights, the "bubble" shape, and the grille. It sounds like they think it's trying too hard to be luxurious but missing the mark.
