2010 Toyota Hilux design review

​            Well, when you sell vehicles all over the world your bound to find a difference in design tastes.  And I guess that’s what you could say about the 2010 Toyota Hilux, since it really does not have that cool comfort of a North American truck.  It seems to have more an urban runabout to its design.  

        This can be seen in the size of the bed the curved front end and the hood scoop.  The hood scoop although may be a nice aftermarket accessory to some, it just looks a bit too cheap on this design.  It has the appeal of one of those plastic, tape on ones you purchase at Canadian Tire, or Wal-Mart. 

        Next take a look at the bland and plain front lights.  Although they may flow well, they still seem more car based than truck based like they should be.  After that say hello to the flat and yet curvy front bumper which can’t make up its mind whether it should be a crossover front or a truck front.  I think if Toyota wanted a winner here, they should add a 2010 4-Runner or Tacoma front end to the Hilux.
